About the Artist:
Paul Ranson (1864–1909) was a French painter and one of the founders of the Nabi movement, a post-Impressionist group that embraced symbolism, decoration, and imaginative expression. His style blended mythology, nature, and ornamentation, moving away from strict realism to create a symbolic visual language that helped pave the way toward modern art.
